『キメコミ・メソッド・トーキョー』 とは経済産業大臣指定の伝統工芸の一つである

江戸木目込人形を手がける伝統工芸士・柿沼利光と、ロンドンで１０年間の滞在経験により得たアートとデザインの世界間をベースに活動する南出優子とのコラボレーションによって生まれたブランドです。 雛人形や五月人形など節句人形で知られる匠の木目込みの技術を引継ぎながら、コンテンポラリーで洗練されたデザインとの調和を感じさせるインテリアアイテムを展開。吉兆紋様など古くから伝わる伝統文化も織り交ぜ、木目込みの手法を新しい価値観と概念で幅広い世代に発信していくことを目指しています。

KIMEKOMI METHOD TOKYO is a brand created in collaboration between a traditional craftsman Kakinuma Toshimitsu, which handles Edo Kimekomi doll, one of the traditional crafts designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Yuko Minamide whoes work is based on the world of art and design that has been gained from her experience through the time in London for 10 years. While inheriting the craftsmanship of wood grain, which is known for ‘Sekku NIngyo’ such as ‘Hina Ningyo’ and ’Gogatsu Ningyo’, we develop interior decorating items that make you feel in harmony with contemporary and sophisticated designs. We are aiming to disseminate ‘Kimekomi’ method to a wide range of generations with new values ​​and concepts by interweaving traditional culture such as the auspicious pattern.

PROFILE:

ロンドンに滞在。アートとデザインを世界に魅了される。ヨーロッパを中心に建築・芸術を求め各地を巡る。

2003

英国王立芸術大学院（Royal College of Art ), デザイン・プロダクト科修士過程終了。

2007

帰国後は日本の伝統工芸や技術とのコラボレーションをはじめ多様なジャンルにおいてプロジェクトを手がける。
