『木目込みトレイ』 KIMEKOMI TRAY

木目込み人形とその技術は古くから伝わり雛人形や五月人形で知られています。明治の後期には、木彫りの胴に裂張りという古来からある製造法から、桐塑を型抜きして胴体を作るという現在の製造法が行われるようになりました。その技法は多彩な生地を用い、固い木地に目打ちやヘラで布地を隙間に入れ込んでいくもので、細やかで豪華さを感じさせます。その木目込み技術を平面的に用い、クッション性をもたせることによって、眺めるだけではなく機能性をもつデラックスなトレイが誕生しました。  枠には会津塗りを施し、艶やかな質感をプラス。 色の構成や、縁起のいい亀甲文様を用いたり、繊細さと豪華さを表現しています。日常生活に一段階新たなゆとりと彩りを与るアイテムです。贈り物にも最適です。

Kimekomi dolls and the techniques have been handed down for a long time and are known as Hina Ningyo and Gogatsu Ningyo. ’Kimekomi’ means a technique of carving lines in the body made from solidified wood powder with starch and inserting kimono fabric into the gaps. ‘KIMEKOMI TRAY’ is used the same technique combined with new material. Yuko Minamide designs  to use the technique in a two-dimensional way with added soft synthetic sheet in order to have cushioned surface to hold your precious watches and jewellery. Aizu-nuri, one of the traditional artworks in the Aizu region in Fukushima is applied to the frame to add a glossy and rich texture.
